some 30th january discovery centre performance videos! erm, okay not that good, out of tune here and there. but nvm i still like. hahaha. and i think we only had like a few rehearsals, it was quite a last minute thing. \: the event was pretty cool! although i don't watch animes.. (other than pokemon digimon all that HAHA) my first performance in 2009 whoo :D
Singapore Wind Symphony Youth Winds conducted by Mr Mohamad Rasull 30th January 2009 Singapore Discovery Centre Performance at Singapore Cosplay Challenge - Anime Musica Live!
inuyasha!
kingdom hearts!
one thing i found out from the videos. no wonder i used to get picked on for my stupid expressionless face when playing. HAHAHA cos it looks quite retarded... but it used to be worst cos i have the i-open-my-mouth-when-reading-score disease and the whole section had to stare at me for one practice to remind me constantly to close it in cedar. hahaha. omg i miss all of them and those good ol' band days in cedar! ):
wahaha i hope june's concert recordings/videos will be out soon! and i'm not blogging about anything else cos my life is that boring.. eat. sleep. bathe. school. projectsss. band. band fiesta at botanic gardens tmr! (:
i'm still coughing occasionally. must be karma! cough for 3 weeks...
okay off to attempt to do something for econs project & find 2 articles for analysing. and wah sai, accounting test on mondayyy.. as long as they give me templates, should be able to pass if i'm lucky that day. hahahaha my accounting sucksss lah, i think it's my current worst subject. i thought it'd be csa though. HAHA i surprisingly passed my excel project (77/100 somemore!) which i thought would suck alot since i was blanking out when doing.
shall continue my drama tmr morning if i ever wake up early before going to mj. zettai kareshi - absolute boyfriend. [i prefer hearing jap thus watching online :P plus i don't think i can commit to watching the drama on tv every week] left with 2 episodes. choy: i shall see if/when i will cry. hahaha.
another 2 random videos before i go off below. byebye. (to the remaining readers of my blog cos i think most are gone!)
czardas by tkwo sax player. OMG i love tkwo! freaking nice!
final fantasy suteki da ne! nice song. (: haha we played this at games xpo that day.
and... HAPPY BIRTHDAY (GWEE) SIYING! :D love you gay friend! hahaha.
hello i want to blog this :D today's jap lesson was fun.
we had to memorise this part.. then the teacher told us to memorise using london bridge. i thought she was joking... she started singing. then made us sing one time. HAHAHA! i wanted to type out but i realise i don't know how to cos it doesn't fit the tune. o.O so i shall just type the last line she kept singing: いく、いって (i-ku, it-te); my fair lady.
oh oh and she's so kawaii and nice! val and i were filling up the make-up form, again. to replace band fiesta next week. (fill make-up forms and transfer classes somemore and i think we will kena blacklisted by the school soon HAHA) then our teacher happened to be there so we asked her if she teaches any saturday class. yay so we're going her class for make-up! (:
then she chased after us until the traffic light to make sure we don't turn up for the wrong week's make-up lesson. so nice right! :D heheh i like her too man. kudos to cute and nice teachers!
okay, my tagboard DIED. any kind-hearted souls wanna tag? my blog visitors are decreasing too.. but, hahaha i don't care already lah. i finally finished copying 3 lectures of econs notes. ah damn the mc mr and all the curvey wavey curves, i always die at market structure. ): i need to start studying for jap test in august.. AND feel like a student who needs to study and do tutorials.
first few steps towards being a student: 1. clear and pack my table. 2. lesser facebook!!! damn it, i'm playing more and more games. [although it always make me smile. like mdm koh's comment on the cedar fiesta photo we took with her, LOL. and my primary 2 cousin added me on facebook hahaha.] 3. sleep earlier.
ah i should stop typing now. i feel like an inactive bander for the past week.. this week should be better with band fiesta practices, which i can only attend 2 out of 5. more chionging of projects this coming week too. [I NEED TO CUT MY HAIR. I CAN'T SEE, MY FRINGE IS BLOCKING MY VIEW] goodnight.
instead of doing productive things like copying my econs notes (omfg i missed out on 3 lectures already) and revising my jap, i just feel like stoning in front of my laptop. yes i know i am a NOCTURNAL FREAK.
since tmr's picnic outing is postponed, i can wake up late late :D okay not that late since i'm meeting yy just for laughs. LOL yay! i hope gay friend is okay and hope she gets well soon! then we can go for more (group?) dates before their school reopen. hahaha.
one photo before i go off; i randomly decided to visit the sws website and chanced upon sax in the city photos! :D
wow got my photo. lolol this was druids. this reminded me of the album of photos during mjcsb concert with only 1 photo whereby you can see my hand in the full band photo. boycott photog! X:
okay i should stop stoning and either go sleep or do something. goodnight.
hello it's very cold now. i have been rotting for the past 2 hours in school. bye bye.
till then; 6:01 PM
Thursday, July 09, 2009
hello hello. this week is a 2-day band week. taking a break from the past few intensive weeks. HOWEVER, these few weeks will be used for intensive chionging-projects. i've been going to school early everyday this week.. and will be for another period of time.
alamakzsx i don't even have time to go and cut hair! \: at least not this week.. argh it's getting to feel like a bush. the fringe is getting in the way..
project tmr morning again. my cough is not getting any better... just like my facebook status: Ang Ching Hong has mastered the art of coughing with mouth closed. (no wonder not recovering, all the germs go back into the body) i feel like taking a day of mc and stay at home to cough all i want. ):
went to watch syf presentation night just now. wasn't as good as expected.. but oh well, still good efforts put in by everyone. there was this part of a song which sounded like druids! HAHAHA how cool :D
i kinda miss the play-same-song for 10000 times feeling. lol i know this is crazy but i don't know how to describe this.. anyway i seriously hope the next swsy concert will turn out fine especially player-wise. the worst experience is to be sooo unprepared. 2 weeks ago was the concert with the most stressful process i'd ever had. things do change. but what was the reason?
random: wow i actually missed the 7th night of july this year. tanabata~ bye.
swsy performance at world cyber games; 4th july, saturday
reached suntec at 8+am to arrange the instruments. glenn reached early... heng mr rasull came soon after. so there were only the 3 of us moving the instruments.
the mess.
warcraft started.. sri lanka vs vietnam.
sat at aunty anne's with glenn for some light food before siying reached. hahaha we talked about alot of random things. like, stories...
lunch @ astons!
the usual thing we order. HAHA :D
the only 'section' photo we had. hahahahaha! other than that we had no time for photos.
woah cool, like glow in the dark. haha!
after the performance, packed and loaded the instruments onto the lorry. had a hard time moving everything through the crowd which refused to give way. it's time to educate the public/enlighten my blog-readers about some random facts: instruments and stands etc are NOT as light as you think. SO PLEASEEE SIAM next time when you see anyone carrying them unless you want to help or try letting them drop on you. [severity of injury depends] i always have bruises after one round of instrument-moving. -.- good thing: i feel stronger after moving everything.
fake dinner at raffles city's shokudoo. first time eating at shokudoo! wahaha we ate the waffles which i totally forgot to take photo of. but i had worst sorethroat from it after that though..
sunday; 5th july after jap lesson. the duper heavy rain... i was so scared my slippers would get washed away! anyway lesson was not bad, just that i really need to start revising soon. less than a month to the next test! oh oh and i think the teacher give me the ayano feeling.. the sl cum chio one :D
144 hours reading marathon. o.O [at first we still saw 4 hours HAHA] they were at 53 hours or something. omggg.
ate dinner at zenzen, some new restaurant. it just opened opposite our jap school. which is actually bugis. HAHA. it's only cheap and worth it with the promotion.
swedish meatballs and wedges. [how japanese is the restaurant seriously?]
yakitori set. the yakitori is nice! the rice tastes like nasi lemak rice hahaha.
forgot the name. but it's nice too!
anyway overall the food was nice. but maybe not so worth it for the quantity. wow i feel like i'm doing a food review blog now.. lol. ps: i ate my japan taopok udon cup noodles [ahhh luxury good] just now!!! :D but i miss eating it in the ryokan in japan.. walking to the 7-11, some of us in improper dressing [fbt and slippers during winter in the night/morning?!], to shop for nice food.. oh and the pudding!!! ): sigh..
27th june; saturday singapore wind symphony youth winds in concert IV, 3pm. singapore wind symphony: sax in the city - symphonic sounds series, 7.30pm.
guess what. my first SCH concert in my whole life. hahaha. other than 2 syfs i had there.. esplanade twice already still no SCH. HAHA weird. edited: 14 hours at SCH in a day wowwww. 19 hours away from home.
lunch - macs.
on the way to changing after rehearsal and lunch.
changed :D
the changing room percussion used for about 30 minutes.
this is already 80% of the changing room. freaking small !
shifted to the practice room. so biggg everyone can just bring sleeping bags to sleep in there.
FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE i was looking at scores right before concert and stressing out. eh i think almost the whole section was doing that lah. \:
tarantella. stresssss?
concert started. the hall was quite empty... the atmosphere wasn't right, at least to me. lol. so it felt like a rehearsal instead of a concert itself. ahh i screwed up alot of my parts.. and i was getting depressed during spirited away. anyway, the 2 german sax soloists sounded duper niceee :D oh well, anyway it ended with 'some encore piece'. HAHA.
then concert ended and i finally went out to meet the rest after settling the instruments.
the pose koudai taught us and the unicorn pose which was 'banned' by the meiden teacher or whoever it was. HAHAHA.
suddenly this photo feels nice. mine and val's shoes.
siao lang pose by lingmei. LOL.
performers photo.
audience photo.
HAHAHAHA the super wrong photo! shall not reveal whose hands was it...
we wanted to take photos with the german kids! but they were too shy and ran off. ): they're damn cute omg!
buffet for dinner.. haha we thought there'd be more food so we went up very late.
christine was bored.
after getting sax in the city tickets :D
aww so sweet.. and still cute!
sax in the city. the super-nice concert banner!
camwhoring before concert.
toilet during interval. and preparing for performance.
backstage. when the german saxophone ensemble was playing. btw, they sound very nice! everything was well-blended etc. and they don't sound like a saxophone ensemble, they sound like a colourful saxophone ensemble whereby i can imagine hearing flute and bassoon sound and more...
after city swing and tubinger sax ensemble, it was our turn. druids. awesome. concerto grosso. i love that song! september. encore: heal the world. i would say i enjoyed the concert myself. (:
percussion! it was nice playing with the german percussionists. daniel and stefan. note: they're freaking tall !!
haha i just happened to be the clarinet section's photographer.
us with mr bath.
didn't had any chance to take photos with the rest. whoo so the life of a percussionist began. packed, shifted instruments etc. then we decided to go to white sands hongkong cafe for supper. a place where it's near all our homes. HAHA.
on the train with pck.
$6.50 maggie mee. hahaha.
$9 yu pian mi fen.
maggie mee eaters. but it was nice lah :D
yu pian mi fen eaters. i heard it was nice too!
sleepy and tired. time to go home! shared cab with choy and reached home at around 2am.
i know what's my future job: instruments mover. HAHA.
life of a percussionist. moving of instruments were tiring. from ulu pandan cc to suntec. then arranging... in that pathetic space. lighting suck - both too dark and too bright. ventilation suck - no aircon? percussion wasn't miked up except for toms? thus mp on the score = need to play ff. playing-wise. NEED PRACTISE AND ORGANISING! (within 36 hours -.-) worst thing: i didn't eat for 10 hourssssss. omg i can just freaking faint there...
luckily i ate panadol at 6.30am cos my mummy found my temperature rising. o.O (i hope it doesn't come back tonight cos i got a feeling just now that it most probably will) but i still got the damn sorethroat. ): oh and i don't think it's h1h1? HAHA. cos i know the reason for me being sick is i ate plenty of chocolates and random heaty stuff on tuesday. sheesh. poor immune system.
however, this is nothing but a job of a percussionist. but i'd prefer to have a bigger section for more help HAHA. sometimes you get to experience interesting/weird/unusual things too, like an aunty scolding us for using her trolley lorry. thanks to all movers too, it can be some form of exercise too :D
i'm still hungry after swallowing (literally) down 3/4 bowl of rice in soup. so cup noodles, maybe? X: i shall bathe and go rest... till tmr and saturday.
i saw links of syf photos everywhere, facebook msn wherever lah.. so i went to kpo. then clicked on 2 somehow-related schools. and realised both zoomed in samples were on the bass drummers. o.O oh and i got reminded that i didn't buy the 2005 syf photo cos of some stupid reason(s)? ):
met calsia to check in. oops i was late. then we rotted around in the chalet... until yy came.
after dinner, we went to buy food. i mean with more people reaching :D
our trolley. HAHA.
went back to the chalet. watched final destination 2. omg thriller. but it was rather nice.. although i got weak heart but i still watched, some parts behind the holey blanket. hahahaha. we got hungry and ate cup noodles. (we bought like alot.)
guess who did it? LOL.
the person who did it got no more face. hahaha. answer: siying.
talked and gossiped throughout the night. found out quite alot of things uh.. then we reminisced through our cedar days. how we sang nonsense chinese songs in class at every word mdm koh says. getting high at any single thing. laughing at who and who, which actually still interests us alot up till today. heh. those were the days.. the best memories of my school life. (:
then we slept at 7am: the reason why i didn't go for mj alumni band at 9am cos i woke up at 10am by 'force' for breakfast. lol.
i fell off the bed.
hahaha i got no idea why i was kneeling so straight.
time for bbq!
lelong lelong!
woof woof.
enjoying food on the bed ah... HAHA.
played tap-of-war on mingen's iphone. [which yy and i went to download thereafter] totally cheap thrills but damn fun(ny). hahaha.
heng it didn't explode. HAHA.
the rest went home. only el calsia kiat celes amanda siying and i stayed over.
haha siying and i went to macs to sit sit at 1am.
then we bought stuff for the rest at cheers and went back to chalet. the 2 of us slept for like 6 hours or so. went for swsy practice the next morning. evening i went for my brother's concert at nafa with my family. [it was a last minute thing]
random photo from wednesday. cookies from culinary students. nice :D
east coast park cycling; 25th june. it was a self-proclaimed 'holiday'. anyway i went cycling with yaju at ecp.
took this while cycling. quite nice right :D
the beatiful sky. そらはきれいですね。
'dinner' at pastamania.
then went for last youth band practice. the german saxophone soloists didn't come in the end. lol and i brought jeans to change. -.- and yeah reached home super late like 12+am.
friday. school till 1pm. went to shop for my jap notebook at orchard with yaju. then shopped at ps's daiso. HAHA. daiso rocks i tell you. the japan one rocks more! (: i still have some unfinished food from japan's daiso i think. oops.
then went for final sws main band practice with mr bath and the german sax ensemble. the 2 percussionists are damn talllll. druids, concerto grosso, september. received the encore piece: heal the world. like a tribute to michael jackson. [i have the urge to blog about concert straight but no, another post!]
yeah packed and went home. reached home super late againnn. and what, had to wake up at 6.30am the next day to move instruments from ulu pandan to conference hall. o.O 3-4 hours of sleep yo and i survived. HA.
hello it's not possible to blog before concert. maybe on sunday... i'm like freaking tired now, reached home after 12am. tmr's gonna be a long day. it's the pre-concert chionging.
OHH and i'm super scared for 4th symphony now.... freak lah, i can't play with the whole band. ): i think i need some last last last minute chionging later myself. argh argh this sucks.
okay. just to update. those who haven't decided whether to go for swsy concert this saturday, you may buy the tickets at the door. all i can say is, do come down to support. lol.
shall blog about 2p chalet asap, like maybe tmr/later? facebook is addictive these few days.. especially bejeweled!
okay i shall go and sleep soon. just finished printing excel and other stuff. and i'm still in holiday mood lah die. by the way, i think i'm gonna fail my excel cos it feels so incomplete from that night of chionging until 5am. and being only 10% awake from 3am onwards. -.-
concert's this saturday!!! shall go rehearse on my own with mp3 soon.. haha if not i'll feel unprepared. then july's another chiong band month yo. i almost had a 7-day band week last week but missed mj alumni cos of chalet habits.
ANYWAY, WHO STILL WANTS TO COME FOR SWSY CONCERT?!?! TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. CONTACT ME IF YOU WANT. THANKS. COME COME COME, THIS SATURDAY 3PM AT SCH. GOT 2 GERMAN SAXOPHONISTS PLAYING SOLOS. HAHAHA. ASK YOUR AHGONG AHMA MUMMY DADDY JIEJIE GORGOR MEIMEI DIDI COME. okay talking nonsense already. but aiyah! you know, this is the frustruation of not being able to sell tickets...... as always.
ah whatever. it's going to 3am and lesson's at 9am tmr until 6pm. i hate long days. byebye.
wah excel suck big time. i wanna sleep.... but deadline's 9am! the worst thing is i'm stuck and have no fucking idea what to do for each criteria. i can't find anywhere to use vlookup and if function on. argh argh can't even anyhow try to fit in somewhere..
AHHHHH MY BRAIN IS NOT EVEN OPERATING. ): i almost fell asleep once and haven't stopped yawning every 30 seconds since then. okay i am going to pre-sleep type and go to sleep. goodnight.
till then; 3:59 AM
Friday, June 19, 2009
18th june; thursday airport trip. livia and madelin studied while i attempted doing parts of my csa excel project. yaju came and used her laptop for 30 minutes before it died. HAHA and of course our karma levels increased too...
i suddenly think they look alike with short hair and specs and that pose. HAHAHA.
i should buy fake specs and wear them when i go out with them. LOL.
my phone was leaning against the cup for self-timer. people walked past and stared at us. cos we looked like we were smiling at the cup. HAHAHA.
the beautiful sky :D
went for sws practice. druids, concerto grosso, september. now the night concert seems more exciting. hahah it's gonna be a cool (and super long, rehearsal at 9am -.-) day man, 27th june.
16th - 17th june; tuesday - wednesday band camp.
jasmine's (tiny? no?) feets in weijie's gigantic slippers.
the audi lift very nice to camwhore leh :D note: stickers on our faces = younger weida's photo. "we <3 weida" LOL.
how smart, i covered my own face. -.-
spongebob with simpsons eye. HAHA.
healthy people woke up at 6.45am to jog after sleeping for 3 hours. 3 hours = not bad already cos the night was chaotic, 3am and almost everyone was still awake in the sports complex. lol. (HAHAHA NOT ME, i walked strolled 0.8km though oops i'm a piggg)
national day/team singapore. haha.
go ervina!
after weijie went to lie on aaron and bilal. ahaha.
lol photos on facebook.. i'm very lazy to gop now. so go facebook and stalk yourself if you want :P
AND HOR, i finally got 4 tickets reserved for swsy concert. damn it it's so freaking hard to sell tickets for this concert since it's 2 days before midyears for jc people... and there's ndp rehearsal so army people can't come lol. hello people please comeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! details please scroll down and refer to a previous post.. sorry i suck at selling and pushing sales for tickets. \:
i'm tired. and i haven't finish my excel project and chalet's like later. si liao. byebye.
hello i'm back from band camp. hahaha it was fun and funny. anyway slept for 3 hours the night before thus sleeping until 11pm after i reached home at almost 5? and now my sleeping time is screwed again. -.- gotta wake up early tmr man. oops.
okay photos with ervina. a FEW random ones in my phone. upload tmr or something lah. shall go play bejeweled for awhile while waiting for my hair to dry. HAHA. and the hot topic of the night is so interesting :D bye.
hello first time i'm blogging with my laptop. while i was transferring files (songs & photos) from my external hard disk...
july farewell. looking forward to december.
final farewell. ):
i miss meiden and japan, overall you can say the whole trip. i miss the pretty chikusa park and our eagle-catch-chick session and 'doggie' session there. i like the eagle-catch-chick photos. lol credits to kinhang and his dslr. we looked and were so happy. (:
zz shall stop dreaming. cos dreaming won't bring me anywhere... HA. -.- aiyah okay shall go pack for band camp which is tmr later. OH SHIT and i haven't informed anything about 2p chalet and it's in a few days.
I GOT THE CONGA CRAZE NOW/TODAY. HAHAHA. suddenly i'm interested to learn to play the conga properly, and i think it's so hard to play it nicely or get a nice sound, all without breaking your hands or bursting your veins. i was playing it today until my hands were pain and red, like the veins are going to burst anytime. no one teach me lehhhhh. ): [eh got, weng taught last time but i forgot....... oops] but there's youtube! hahaha saviour! -.- maybe i should go youtube and watch the tutorials on playing percussion next time. like, bongos next or something. LOL noob.
whoo useful video on exercises :D i guess you need this to not break your hands or burst your veins.
the common rhythm on the conga.. ya, the one weng taught and i forgot. HAHA.
OMFG what fingers does he have?!
hip stuff :D
anyway got my laptop! :D fujitsu l___. forgot the model. HAHA. it's black. and now i'm thinking why didn't i aim the white or bronze one. \: but well, it's okay.. my mummy and my brother went to buy it at the pc fair. reason why i didn't go: band practice. actually more like i hate crowds hahahaha.
so today was a good day again. with band practice which went well yay. hoho. oh, and 2 versions [language] of warm-up video on facebook. LOL. the weather was super good this evening!!! i will miss it... when will we experience that temperature again? [like singapore has a lower temperature than japan during these few weeks haha!]

it feels like i have a list of things to do. yet i haven't done anything meaningful to life since i woke up. maybe just getting my drumsticks and doing unserious strokings on my drumpad.
i guess it's time to print out the timetable for the following week. HAHA. because actually, i don't know what's there for me to do. -.- other than projects. (i'm waiting for my laptop! :D) zzz off to do some more serious strokings. i think mine suck big time now. having 6-day band weeks doesn't help. and to write a list of to-do things.
bye.
till then; 3:34 PM
no ripping. unless i've asked you to gop the photos/content from here. thankyou!
